My good friend Alicia was supposed to get married in Mexico back in October, but Hurricane Patricia had other plans.
When their flights were cancelled, but all their family & friends were already in Vancouver, they decided to plan an impromptu wedding on Granville Island in less than 24 hours! Luckily I was already in town to photograph a conference that same day, so I made myself available to take some photos!
It was raining all day, but the skies cleared up just in time for the ceremony. A busker who happened to be playing outside the market, played for them as a crowd gathered to watch them walk down the aisle. It was an absolutely perfect & simple ceremony, followed by a sunset cruise of False Creek on an Aquabus.
Congratulations Alicia & Dave!
